About Course
Welcome to the Memory Care Services (MCS) Training Program
Dear Participant,
Welcome to the Memory Care Services (MCS) Training Program provided by Arizona Care Horizon Institute. This course is designed to equip caregivers, direct care workers, and healthcare staff with essential knowledge and skills to support individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
During this training, you will explore:
- The progression and effects of Alzheimer’s disease
- Person-centered approaches to care
- Communication strategies and behavioral responses
- Activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Assessment and individualized service planning
- Abuse recognition and prevention
- Maintaining safety and handling emergency situations
- Medication and end-of-life considerations
You are encouraged to actively participate, reflect on your experiences, and complete the post-training evaluation and test.
